Abbotsford South MLA Darryl Plecas (left), veteran Don Stevenson, Nora Cains and veteran Bud Cairns attend a Remembrance Day tribute during a Yale Secondary Lions game at the Abbotsford Recreation Centre on Nov. 13. Stevenson was a pilot with the RCAF from 1942 to 1945, and Bud Cairns served in World War II as an active trooper in the UK, Germany, Belgium and Netherlands. The pair dropped the puck for the opening face-off, and the school raised money for the Royal Canadian Legion at the event.
