Plenty of high school hoops action on the West Shore

Belmont, Royal Bay host numerous city league games this week and next

High school basketball fans are in for a treat next Tuesday (Jan. 19), as Belmont secondary plays host to a triple header of games.

The Bulldogs senior girls host Stelly’s in a 5:45 p.m. matchup of AAA teams, followed by a key Division 1 senior boys battle between Belmont and Claremont at 7:30.

The Belmont junior girls host Royal Bay in an all-West Shore matchup to open things off at 4:15 p.m.

The Bulldogs junior boys are off that day, but host Mount Doug in the 4:15 p.m. opener of another triple bill at Belmont on Jan. 21. The junior girls play Claremont at 5:45 while the senior boys play Lambrick Park at 7:30.

Royal Bay hardwood busy as well

Over at Royal Bay, the senior girls Ravens are in action today (Jan. 12) against Pacific Christian at 5:45 p.m., preceded by a junior girls game at 4:15 between the Ravens and Oak Bay.

Ravens teams host a tripleheader of their own tomorrow (Jan. 13), starting with the junior boys against Esquimalt at 4:15 p.m., followed by the senior girls against Lambrick Park at 5:45 and the senior boys hosting Glenlyon Norfolk at 7:30.

Thursday sees the junior girls host SMUS at 5:45 p.m.
