Rams honoured with weekly awards

Langley running back Nathan Lund and linebacker Marcus Brown earn offensive and defensive players of the week

A pair of Langley Rams were among the weekly honourees for the B.C. Football Conference’s week nine action.

Linebacker Marcus Brown was a big factor in holding the V.I. Raiders to a total of 33 yards rushing in the Rams’ 53-14 victory at McLeod Athletic Park on Sept. 20.

The 18-year-old made three solo tackles, one assisted tackle, forced and recovered a fumble, knocked down a pass and had an interception.

The offensive player of the week was Langley’s Nathan Lund.

The running back carried the ball 11 times for 55 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught a pair of passes for 73 yards and another touchdown.
