The Re/Max Downtown team scored from downtown, and from the paint, too, and it all added up to another championship. The RDT squad won Nanaimo’s King of the Court men’s basketball title on Sunday, defeating the Spartans 93-87 in overtime at the Oliver Woods Community Centre.

Carson Williams scored 37 points and was selected playoff MVP. Also for RDT, Luke Letham scored 21 points and league MVP Joel Bron added 13 points and 12 rebounds.

For the Spartans, Chris Trumpy scored 40 points including two free throws with 10 seconds left to force overtime. Matt Kuzminski added 17 points.

The final was a rematch of 2010, when RDT also emerged victorious.
