Tons of fun, prizes and sunshine marked the 2012 Cool Running Walk/Run for Charity on Sunday, hosted by the Shuswap Lady Striders.
About 75 people competed in the three races available, raising $2,500 with net proceeds going to the Shuswap Trail Alliance.
Overall female winner in the 10-kilometre event was Marie Peterson with a time of 44:36. Male winner was Patric Donker, who completed the race in 36:22.
Other winners in the 10-km event were as follows:
• 16 to 19 – Female: 1st Amy Morin, 2nd Sandra Kilmartin.
• 20 to 29 – Male: 1st Mike Ogloff.
• 30 to 34 – Female: 1st Angela Cundiff. Male: 1st Patrick Donker.
• 35 to 39 – Female: 1st Marie Peterson, 2nd Angie Bowman. Male: 1st Doug Revel.
• 40 to 44 – Female: 1st Franwyn Burman.
• 45 to 49 – Female: 1st Tracey Pollard, 2nd Leigh Pollard, 3rd Katheryn Dunne. Male: 1st Barry Wilson.
• 50 to 54 – Female: 1st Sally Leachman, 2nd Trish David, 3rd Karen Uhlenberg. Male: 1st Wes Uhlenberg.
• 55 to 59 – Male: 1st Brian David.
• 60 to 64 – Female: 1st Maureen Robertson. Male: 1st Howard Keefe.
• 65 to 69 – Female: 1st Kathleen Yanke, 2nd Mary Hamilton.
In the 5-km event, overall female winner was Christine Blacklock with a time of 25:29. Top male was Nick Donker, who finished the race in 23:20.

• 30 to 34 – Female: 1st Yeiko Menzies, 2nd Tammy Young. Male: 1st Douglas Kelly.
• 35 to 39 – 1st Christine Blacklock, 2nd Karen Wilson, 3rd Crystal Stunzi.
• 40 to 44 – Female: 1st Tammy Turner, 2nd Denise Reimer.
• 45 to 49 – Female: 1st Lee Pierrard.
• 50 to 54 – Female: 1st Beate Stemmer, 2nd Cary Lentz, 3rd Dawn Cramswocj.
• 55 to 59 – Female: 1st Donna Flatman, 2nd Donna Keefe. Male – 1st Steve Miller.
• 60 to 64 – Female: 1st Jos Penner, 2nd Bev Wice, 3rd Karen Mulka.
