For less than $4 a game, hockey fans can secure season tickets for next season.
“We feel as an organization that we align with the entertainment budget of families and this new pricing allows a wide majority of people to experience quality junior hockey without leaving their home town,” said Taylor Henderson, the Langley Rivermen’s director of operations.
From now until April 1, each season ticket sold for the 2014/15 season will cost $99. The new price represents a 60 per cent savings on the normal adult price of $249 and a 34 per cent savings for students and seniors.
The Rivermen play 28 games at the Langley Events Centre.
This year’s team is having its most successful run in their three years at the LEC, currently sitting in top spot in the BCHL’s Mainland Division. They have already qualified for the playoffs — which begin in March — and in the most recent rankings, were listed 18th among all Canadian junior A hockey clubs.
