The Langley Rivermen kick off the 2015/16 hockey season with a road game against the Surrey Eagles.

The Rivermen junior a hockey club will begin the BCHL season at South Surrey Arena on Sept. 11.

The team’s fans will get their first chance to see them on home ice at the Langley Events Centre the following weekend as the Rivermen host the Prince George Spruce Kings on Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. The Spruce Kings eliminated Langley from the playoffs last season.

Langley also hosts the BCHL’s newest team, the Wenatchee Wild, on Sept. 20 at 3 p.m.

This year’s BCHL Bauer Showcase will once again be held at Chilliwack’s Prospera Centre, but the annual tournament will not be at the start of the season as it has traditionally been, but instead it will be held Sept. 24 to 27.

The team will play all of their Saturday home games at 6 p.m.
