In advance of his expected victory in the race for the Brett Hull Award as the top scorer in the B.C. Hockey League, Mario Puskarich was named a Coastal Conference first-team all-star on Wednesday.

Puskarich is the runaway leader in the junior A hockey league scoring race with 41 goals, 46 assists and 87 points in 54 games.

Just two games remain in the BCHL regular season and the 20-year-old has a 16-point lead in the scoring race.

This is his final season with Langley as he head off to Vermont next year on scholarship.

The Rivermen finish the regular season with a home game at the Langley Events Centre on March 7 against the Chilliwack Chiefs. The two teams then reconvene on March 9 at the Prospera Centre in Chilliwack to wrap up the regular season.

The Fred Page Cup playoffs begin March 15 with Langley visiting Surrey to start the best-of-five Mainland Division semifinal series. Game two is March 16 before the series shifts to Langley on March 18.
