Langley Rugby Club’s 1st and 2nd Division games were played under severe weather conditions down at their home field on Crush Crescent on Saturday.

Both teams came out victorious over Kamloops who traveled with solid numbers for the Saturday afternoon matches.

Langley Seconds won a tight, hard-fought game 7-0 with some great play from newcomers Sterling Grotzke and Scott Balzer.

Langley won a convincing victory in the First Division, 63-3, fielding one of their strongest sides of the year. Kolby Brezden returned to the centres where his strong running and relentless tackling stood out, along with flanker Richard Pierce, who has come off a solid campaign with the Valley Mens representative side. The Valley Men won the Mckecknie cup (a competition going back over 100 years) in February with two wins over Vancouver Island Crimson Tide and Vancouver Wave. Pierce was named forward of the Match in both games.
