A North Okanagan Minor Lacrosse player has received a provincial honour.
Kayden Beauregard, who plays both box and field lacrosse, received the Subway Zone 2 Lacrosse Player of the Year $500 scholarship from the B.C. Lacrosse Association.
Beauregard, 15, is a strong, two-way player who has good grades at Vernon Secondary School and helps out within the lacrosse community as a volunteer and referee for both box and field.
Beauregard, chosen from all the submissions from the Thompson Okanagan Zone 2.
He played box for the North Okanagan A Legends and has played field for the past year with the Burnaby Mountain Selects, travelling with the squad to New York and San Diego.
