Results Nov. 16 to 20

The Summerland Senior bonspiel was held Monday to Wednesday, Nov. 16 to 18. The morning ladies put on three lunches, and the ice techs were busy with six draws a day. Thanks to the coordinator Eric Johnson and all his volunteers.

There were 22 teams, including seven from Penticton, six from Kelowna, one from Oliver and eight from Summerland.

Blue Division: Summerland skip Glen Brennan, third Art Lappalainen, second Don Lawrence, lead Blake Lynch-Staunton.

Red Division: Penticton Skip Barry Lemay, third Bill Stewart, second Mark Horvath, lead John Carpenter.

Green Division: Penticton Len Swift, third Larry Badger, second Lew Norman, lead Gord Sheehan.

Monday evening men: Dale Abrey defeated Rob Robinson, Steve Clement defeated Rick Drewnisz, Mike Rudniski defeated Don Lawrence, Team Keen’s defeated Stan Green.

Tuesday evening ladies: Jackie Clement defeated Wendi Archer, Jodie Brennan defeated Diana Leitch, Bev Skinner defeated Betty Raymond, Lil Blashko defeated Judy Beck.

Wednesday evening men: Rick Drewnisz defeated Doug Campbell, Bruce Dacre defeated Louie Costa, Gary Wingerak defeated Dave Gartrell , Ken Rae defeated John Fitzgerald, Glen Brennan defeated Gary Raymond.

Thursday morning ladies: Marilyn Cahoon defeated RoseMarie Fenrich, Diana Leitch defeated Gail Ostaficuik, Ev Gillespie defeated Barb Ezart.

Thursday evening open: Louis Costa defeated John Egyed, Jodie Brennan defeated Glen Brennan, Russ Lemke defeated Tony Blashko,  Gary Raymond defeated John McKay .

Friday evening mixed: Cliff Last defeated Ian Rogers, Linda Whittome defeated Brian Harris, Brian Budzinski defeated Armond Houle, Arnie Young defeated Colleen Deleff .

Friday late evening: Dave Hood defeated Dolores McKenna, Al Tower defeated Dan Laktin, Cliff Rose defeated John Fitzgerald, Steve Callaghan defeated Doug Patan.

Junior curling is Wednesdays after school at 3:30 p.m.

Tip of the week: To speed up the game, after the end is over, the first thrower should be ready in the hack. Let the other team members organize the stones. Also during the end, when it is your turn to throw your stone be ready in the hack, right after your opponent has thrown theirs.
