Scottish sprinter joins Trinity Western

One of Scotland’s best sprinters is joining the Trinity Western Spartans track and field team.

Calum Innes, a 20-year-old from Glasgow, has committed to joining the Spartans next season.

The signing is great news for the second-year program.

“In our early days, we have already secured the kind of cornerstone athlete that every university needs,” said coach Laurier Primeau.

“Not only does Calum have tremendous versatility on the field of play, but he also has the potential to add to the leadership of this team.”

Innes specializes in sprinting and hurdles, but he could also represent Trinity Western in the long jump and relays. He has already represented Scotland on the international stage.
