The city’s Western Lacrosse Association club (6-11-1) lost 11-7 on Friday on the road, then dropped the next night’s rematch 14-10 at Frank Crane Arena. The T-men had already been eliminated from playoff contention going into the weekend.

In the first game, Cory Conway led Nanaimo with a hat trick and Ryan Keith, Myles Kenny and Blake Kenny had the other markers. Zak Boychuk made 37 saves in defeat and the Shamrocks were 5-for-5 with the man advantage.

In the finale, the visitors rushed to an 8-3 first-period lead en route to the win. Cody Bremner had two goals and two assists for Nanaimo and Keith and Graham Palmer scored a pair of goals each. Joel Henry, Chris O’Dougherty, Blake Kenny and Scott Ranger also scored for the Timbermen.

Ranger clinched the WLA scoring title with 55 goals and 92 points.
