Senior B T-men take on Bandits

The senior B Nanaimo Timbermen host the Tri-City Bandits this Sunday (May 10) at the Nanaimo Ice Centre.

The senior B Nanaimo Timbermen will raise their lacrosse sticks for a measuring-stick game.

The city’s West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association squad hosts the Tri-City Bandits this Sunday (May 10).

The Bandits are the perennial playoff champions in the WCSLA and defeated the T-men in the finals last year.

“They’ve kind of had our number over the last four or five years,” said Mike Maughan, coach of the senior B Timbermen. “So we’re definitely going to come out with a little bit of extra venom for them hopefully on Sunday and be ready for that one.”

This season, the T-men have won four straight games in league play and the Bandits are 3-0.

“The way we’ve talked is we feel we should be winning every game now,” Maughan said. “That’s not always going to happen, but we want to attack every game like the other team should be kind of fearing us.”

GAME ON … The senior B Timbermen visit the Port Moody Thunder on Saturday (May 9), then host the Bandits on Sunday at 5 p.m. at the Nanaimo Ice Centre. Tickets will be available at the door.
