An early 2-0 lead was not enough for the Langley Senior Blaze who saw their four-game win streak come to an end.
The Blaze — made up of collegiate and university players home in the Lower Mainland for the summer — dropped a 6-4 decision to the Coquitlam Angels in Pacific Metro Baseball League action.
The game was played at Coquitlam’s Mundy Park on June 12.
The Blaze are 3-1 in the PMBL and 1-2 in the Pacific International League.
Coquitlam scored three times in the bottom of the first inning to erase Langley’s lead.
Jesse Peters was tagged with the loss, allowing six runs over five innings.
Bob Foerster continues to swing a hot bat for the Blaze as he had two hits and two RBIs. He also drove in five in Langley’s previous game.
Mason Cratty and Bobby Wagner had the other Blaze RBIs.
