With an unbeaten record in league play, the members of Clearwater Secondary School’s senior girls volleyball team finished up the season with a strong showing at the Okanagan championships on Nov. 18 and 19 – but not quite strong enough to bring home any medals.

According to coach Marie Giesbrecht, the girls lost their round robin games to Aberdeen Hall from Kelowna, which is ranked fourth in the province, and to Kelowna Christian, ranked number one in B.C. Both matches were close.

Raiders defeated Eagle River from Sicamous during the round robin.

The quarter-final game was against Vernon Christian School, currently ranked number eight in B.C. The Raider girls played a great match and lost 25-21 and 25-23.
