Andy Zubot scored all three goals in a 3-1 win over Shuswap Merlot in Vernon Tuesday.

Most sportsmanlike player for the Sistas was Wendy Nadeau for her outstanding presence in net.

At Greater Vernon Athletics Park, Squires Four Pub/Dr. Lee Dental blanked the Chick Kickers 2-0, thanks to second-half goals from Erin Scott, on a goalmouth scramble created from a great cross from Andi King, and a 20-yard rocket for the second straight game from Barb Levesque.

Lisa Arrotta made some great saves in both halves for the shutout. She was aided by the solid backline play of Jennie Currie, Bobbi Cormier, Cindy Worth and Marisa Wiebe, who kept the speedy forwards from Chick Kickers at bay.

Sportswoman of the game for Squires Four/Dr. Lee was Deanna Baker, who did a great job of controlling the ball and sending great passes to streaking teammates up front.

Rosters made two first-half goals stand up as they rolled to a 3-0 win over the Controllers.

All 15 Controllers players had solid games with goalie Michelle Embleton having no chance on the first and third Rosters goals.

Among the highlights for the Controllers was the great sideline save by Amy Shupe, who found teammate Ang Durfield’s earrings in the grass.

Shawn Yargeau was the Controllers’ player of the match for being solid in the midfield, and for firing two rockets on goal.

In Division 1 play, Chara Devolder scored twice and Aspen Kozak added the other as the Blazers downed the shorthanded North Enderby Timber Celtics 3-1 at Marshall Field.

Amanda Swales and Julie Kentel set up the goals with sweet assists while Hannah Nesbitt was awesome in the Blazers’ goal.

The Celtics opened the scoring 20 minutes into the contest courtesy of a Genevieve Nice strike to the top corner from 20 yards out.

Lindsay Bolduc was awesome in the midfield for NET, and Debbie Henderson was solid on the backline, saving a sure goal in the six-yard box.

The Kicksters scored five second-half goals to subdue Centowear 5-0.
