Langley United men's team edges Burnaby Hotspur FC 1-0 in round of 16

Langley United Sparta edged Burnaby Hotspur FC 1-0 to book a spot in the quarter-final round.

The Langley men’s Division 2 soccer team hosted Burnaby on April 18 at Willoughby Community Park in round of 16 action in the B.C. Soccer Association’s Keith Millar Cup, the men’s provincial B championships.

With the win, Sparta moves on to the final eight and they face Richmond Athletics on April 24 at Richmond’s Minoru Park.

The Langley United team is trying to win a third title this season after earlier winning the Fraser Valley Soccer League regular season title and the President’s Cup.
