Fall Funkin

Fort Rupert Curling Club invites curlers and interested newcomers to get a jump on the season Sept. 29 in its annual Fall Funkin’ event, which combines golf and curling along with a barbecue.

Play begins with nine holes of golf in a scramble format at 9:30 a.m. at Seven Hills Golf and Country Club. Participants then move to the curling club on Beaver Harbour Road in Storey’s beach for lunch, followed by a pair of four-end curling matches. A modified scoring system combines the golf and curling results to determine winners.

Registration is $40 per player and includes greens fees, lunch and prizes. Curling equipment will be provided for those who need it. No experience necessary.
