Claremont swat SMUS at Islands
Claremont secondary school’s boys and girls badminton team is going to provincials for the eighth straight year after winning the Island Championships on Tuesday.
Claremont defeated Mount Douglas in the semifinal 9-2 and St. Michaels University in the final 6-5.
By winning the Islands, Claremont broke a four year stranglehold by SMUS. Provincials are in Kamloops May 25 to 28.
Early registry on for triathlon
The Victoria Youth Triathlon is June 12 at the University of Victoria. Early deadline (for those who want the free t-shirt) is May 31. Registration is limited to 288, and final deadline is June 8.
