Squam Bay Derby sees 169 entries

61st Annual Squam Bay Fish Derby on July 10, saw 169 entries, and 52 fish weighed

The 61st Annual Squam Bay Fish Derby on July 10, saw 169 entries, and 52 fish weighed. The first place winner of the $600 was Kate Williams from Kamloops with a 13 lb. 10 oz. lake trout. Derby organizers say according to their records Williams is only the second woman to have won this derby in 61 years.  Second place was won by Tim Morin of Squam Bay with an 11 lb. 6 oz. lake trout, Kyle Greenwell of Squam Bay took third place with a 10 lb. 2 oz. lake trout, and the largest rainbow caught was 6 lb. 6 oz. caught by Ken Pasemko of Kamloops. There was also a hidden weight prize of 2 lb. 5 oz. won by Chase Davidson of Kamloops.
