Thanks largely to an opening round 69 from Langley’s Drew St. Cyr, the Fraser Valley Cascades golf team jumped out to an insurmountable 15-stroke lead on day one of the Bear Mountain Collegiate Championship hosted by Victoria’s Camosun College.
And that large lead proved handy as the Cascades saw their lead slip on the second day, although they still won the event by seven strokes.
