Kyle Sorenson placed on 21-day injured reserve list

The Vancouver Stealth have lost their captain for the foreseeable future.

Kyle Sorenson has been placed on the 21-day injured reserve with an undisclosed injury.

Sorenson has appeared in both games this season for the Stealth (1-1), collecting one assist, two loose balls and 17 penatly minutes.

With Sorenson being placed in the IR, the Stealth have activated rookie Josh Hawkins from the practice roster.

Hawkins, a graduate of Loyola College, was drafted 41st overall by the Stealth in the 2013 National Lacrosse League entry draft.

The team also announced that nine-year veteran Curtis Hodgson will serve as an assistant captain in Sorenson’s absence.

The Stealth host the Colorado Mammoth tonight (Friday) at the Langley Events Centre and travel to Calgary on Saturday to face the Roughnecks.
