From Shane Hyde comes word that because of the popularity of the beach volleyball leagues they run each summer, Oceanside Outdoor Sport will also be running two additional leagues this year: Co-ed Beach Soccer and Co-ed Beach Flag Football.
“These two leagues have been very successful in the past, and promise to be a lot of fun this summer too,” said Hyde.
According to Hyde, beach soccer will run Monday evenings from 6:30-9 p.m. at Parksville Beach. Entry fee is $300 for an entire team of 6-10 people (the teams must be co-ed) and games will be five-and-a-goalie per side. The first session is eight weeks long, beginning on May 7.
Beach flag football will run Thursday evenings from 6:30-9 p.m. at the beach. The cost and team set up is the same for soccer (6-on-6). The first session will begin May 10.
