Summerland curling teams advance to provincials

Summerland Curling Club will have two teams at masters provincials

The Summerland Curling Club will be well represented at the B.C. Interior Master’s Curling Association provincials in Kelowna.

The club hosted the 60-plus men’s and women’s masters regional event on Jan. 18 with the Dale Abrey and Bev Skinner rinks coming out victorious.

Skinner, with Wendi Archer, RoseMarie Fenrich and Betty Raymond defeated Kelowna’s Rose McNeill 8-2 after six ends. The team won provincials in 2012. Abrey’s rink defeated Kelowna’s Garry Gelowitz 8-7. Abrey scored two in the eighth end for the win.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The provincial championship will be in Kelowna in March.
