After an overtime loss in the first championship hockey game, the Summerland Steam rebounded with a 2-1 win over the 100 Mile House Wranglers on Wednesday evening.
The two teams are battling in a best of seven series for the Okanagan/Shuswap Conference Title in Junior B hockey action.
The game was at the South Cariboo Rec Centre in 100 Mile House.
Summerland took an early lead with a goal by Jarrett Malchow at 19:30 in the first period. Assists were by Riley Pettitt and Calvin Hadley.
At 7:39, the Steam added another goal, this one by Paulsen Lautard and assisted by Jack Mills.
In the second period, 100 Mile House scored at 10:51 with a goal by Justin Bond, assisted by Todd Bredo and Nck McCabe.
The third period was scoreless.
The series continues with two games in Summerland, on Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19. Both games begin at 7 p.m.
On Monday, March 21, the teams will return to 100 Mile House for the fifth game in the series.
If needed, the sixth game will be in Summerland on Tuesday, March 22 at 7 p.m. and the seventh game, if necessary, will be in 100 Mile House on Wednesday, March 23 at 7 p.m.
