Tanti scores twice as Wolf Pack spoil Kodiaks opener

Aldergrove falls 5-2 as Pacific Junior Hockey League season kicks off

The North Vancouver Wolf Pack scored three times in the final period to post a 5-2 victory over the Aldergrove Kodiaks on the opening night of the Pacific Junior Hockey League season.

The game was played at Aldergrove Arena on Sept. 11.

The teams were tied at one after 20 minutes and the Wolf Pack’s Marcus Houck put the visitors ahead for good with the only goal of the second.

Taylor Tanti — son of former Vancouver Canuck Tony Tanti — scored twice in the third while Connor Pasco and Spencer Quon had the other North Vancouver goals.

Jackson Wanick had opened the scoring for Aldergrove while Stephen Ryan tallied in the third.

Cole MacInnes made 40 saves in the loss.

Up next for the Kodiaks is a road game on Sept. 13 at Abbotsford’s MSA Arena against the Pilots.
