Abbotsford’s Nick Taylor made the cut at the Sony Open in Hawaii over the weekend, but a difficult four-over-par final round saw him finish tied for 68th place.
A triple bogey on the par-five fifth hole made the round look worse than it was and pushed Taylor down to even par for the tournament. Nevertheless, making the cut at the tournament helped net the Ledgeview alum a check of $11,368 for his second tournament of 2015.
Adam Hadwin, meanwhile, missed the cut after rounds of three-over-par and one-under.
Jimmy Walker won the tournament with a tournament score of minus-23, nine shots better than the second best golfer. It was the second straight Sony Open win for Walker.
The two Abbotsford golfers will be back in action this Thursday at the Humana Challenge at PGA West, in La Quinta, Calif.
