Taylor notches another top-10 finish on PGA Tour Canada

Nick Taylor‘s fifth top-10 finish of the PGA Tour Canada campaign kept him in the mix to earn his Web.com Tour card for next season.

The Abbotsford golfer was in the hunt for the title at the Wildfire Invitational in Peterborough, Ont. last week, ultimately settling for solo fifth place. He carded rounds of 66, 67, 67 and 68 to end up at -16, four strokes back of winner Mark Hubbard of Denver, Col.

Taylor’s fifth top-10 result ties him with Chris Epperson for most on the circuit, but he has yet to cash in with a victory. His remarkable consistency, though, has him in seventh place on the tour’s money list with $32,931.25 in earnings. The top five at season’s end will be awarded Web.com Tour cards, and a complete top-10 ranking is below.

There are just two tournaments left in the PGA Tour Canada season for Taylor to make up ground, including this week’s Cape Breton Classic in Ben Eoin, N.S. and next week’s Tour Championship in London, Ont.
