The Langley Thunder scored the only two goals of the 10-minute overtime period to knock off the Maple Ridge Burrards for just their second victory of the season.
Goals from Cole Shafer and Jordan Dance gave the Thunder a 10-8 win over the Burrards on Saturday night at the Langley Events Centre as the Thunder improved to 2-11.
Shafer (three goals, one assist) and Drance (two goals, one assist) combined for five of the 10 goals while James Rahe had one goal and three assists.
Bryce Brochu, Brandon Clelland and Mitch McMichael each had a goal and a helper and Matt Kristiansen had one goal.
Brodie MacDonald stopped 44 of 52 shots.
The victory came on the heels of a 15-6 loss to the Victoria Shamrocks on July 6.
Langley fell behind 6-0 and could not recover.
Kristiansen led the offence with two goals.
The Thunder host the Burnaby Lakers on July 13.
