Twenty-eight riders came out to the Terrace Off Road Cycling Association’s Ferry Island Flat Out race last weekend.
Travis Carter beat out six competitors in the men’s race, while Heidi Siebrig took the women’s race, which had five competitors.
Seventeen youth came out for the skills camp and race Sunday, May 1.
TORCA is holding a number of events this year, with one of them being a Terrace Mountain “triple crown” race series, with three chances to race on Terrace Mountain.
The association’s vice president Tara Irwin said they are working hard to get money for trail development this year, and are currently working on a new trail on Terrace Mountain.
Irwin said the group’s looking for volunteers, and are starting to have regular trail nights every second Thursday of the month at Terrace Mountain.
