Chilliwack sent a small contingent to the B.C. High School Track and Field Championships, held June 3-4 at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby.
Ashley Heisler represented Sardis secondary school in the women’s 800 metre run preliminaries, placing 20th overall with a time of 2:39.51.
Levi Halfpenny ran for Sardis in the men’s 200m dash prelims, placing 19th with a time of 24.04 seconds.
Halfpenny returned for the men’s 400m run prelims, placing 16th with a time of 53.34s.
Adrianna Lunt represented Chilliwack secondary school in a pair of events.
Lunt placed 11th in the 100m dash prelims with a time of 13.08s. She finished 10th in the 200m dash prelims with a time of 26.51s.
Both times were new personal bests.
Franziska Polthier also competed in two events, placing 25th in the triple jump with a leap of 8.27m and 13th in the heptathlon with 2322 points.
Dallas Peeling represented CSS in the men’s 1500m race walk, placing 14th with a time of 8:15.57.
G.W. Graham’s Dina Davidson failed to finish the finals of the women’s 3000m run after recording a time of 11:24.00 in prelims.
