Two new Bulldogs join team for the 2016-17 season

Two new defensemen have been signed to the Alberni Valley Bulldogs for the upcoming season.

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs have signed two new defensemen for the 2016-17 season.

Connor Welsh, a 5’8, 160-pound defenseman from Halifax, NS is coming off an excellent final season with Stanstead College where he scored 43 points (5 goals and 38 assists) in 68 games. Welsh is an intelligent, mobile defenseman who possesses a lot of skill with the puck.

The Bulldogs also signed Tyler Lentz.

Lentz played last season for the Calgary Northstars Midget AAA program where he scored 21 points (5 goals and 16 assists) in 32 regular season games and added 10 points (2 goals and 8 assists) in 7 playoff games.

Lentz who stands at 6-feet, 185lbs, is another strong skating defenseman.
