The V.I. Raiders had top-tier talent on the gridiron this past season.
The Canadian Junior Football League announced its All-Canadians for 2016 and two Raiders were selected – receiver Dustin Rodriguez and defensive back Cole Virtanen.
Rodriguez, a graduating fifth-year player, led the B.C. Football Conference in catches and receiving yards.
Virtanen was chosen an All-Canadian for a second-straight year.
Two former Raiders were also chosen All-Canadians – offensive lineman Jordan Kuziek, who is from Nanamo, and receiver Dylan Schrot.
In other junior football news, the Saskatoon Hilltops won the Canadian Bowl on Saturday in Victoria, defeating the Westshore Rebels 37-25.
