The Trinity Western Spartans men’s volleyball team improved to 6-0 on the season with a pair of victories over the Regina Cougars.

The Spartans opened the home part of their Canada West schedule with 3-0 (25-16,25-10,25-23) and 3-1(25-10, 19-25,25-16,15-15) victories over the Regina Cougars over the weekend.

Saturday’s victory was highlighted by having 11 players finish with at least one kill. Leading the way was Brad Kufske who had a career-high 17 kills, including 10 alone in the fourth set.

Nick Del Bianco had 10 kills while Lucas Van Berkel had eight kills and seven blocks.

In Saturday’s match, Marc Howatson led the attack with seven kills while Dan Jansen Van Doorn had six.
