After leading the Trinity Western women’s basketball team in scoring with 12.6 points per game, Langley’s Jessie Brown was named to the 2014-15 Canada West all-rookie team.
Brown was a dangerous three-point shooter all season and finished the year third in Canada West with 51 baskets from the beyond the arc. She also finished eighth in the conference with 21.0 points per 40 minutes and had a season-high 27 points in an early-February game against Winnipeg.
The 2014 graduate of Brookswood Secondary becomes the second Spartans women’s basketball player in as many years to be named to the Canada West all-rookie team after Kayla Gordon earned the nod last year.
