The host Vernon Re/Max Tigers outscored the Armstrong Shamrocks 6-2 over the game’s final 21 minutes and change to post an 11-7 win Tuesday at the Wesbild Centre, and take a two games to one lead in their best-of-five Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League semifinal series.

Game four goes Thursday (7:30 p.m.) at the Nor-Val Sports Centre in Armstrong. A fifth game, if needed, would be played Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Wesbild.

Liam Drabuik and Nolan Frame each had three goals to pace the Tigers, who snapped a 5-5 tie late in the middle frame with a goal at 18:57, taking a 6-5 lead into the dressing room. Vernon added three unanswered goals in the first nine minutes of the third to take a commanding 9-5 lead.

The two teams were tied 3-3 after one period.

Owen Barker had 2+3 for the Shamrocks, who were outshot 55-50 by the Tigers.
