Jack McIlhargey played with the Royals in 1970-71 before going on to a lengthy NHL career with the Vancouver Canucks, Philadelphia Flyers and Hartford Whalers,
The crowd of nearly 700 at the ceremony included such hockey luminaries as Brian Burke, Pat Quinn, Stan Smyl, Harold Snespts, Andy Moog, Laurence Gilman, Darcy Rota and Bob Nicholson.
