A South Okanagan girls volleyball team which includes three Summerland players has won the Single A provincials.
The U17 Volleytech volleyball team competed at the provincials in Richmond earlier this month.
Steve Kentel, coach of the team, said the team faced tough competition but emerged undefeated.
Going into the tournament, the Volleytech team was ranked fourth.
There are nine players on the team. The Summerland players are Brook Ure, Jensen Kentel and Brittany Parliament.
The players have been together for the past four years.
While the volleyball season begins in January, Steve Kentel said several of the players are also involved in basketball and cannot devote their full energies to volleyball until March.
There are seven Volleytech teams of various ages. The recent win is the first time any of the teams has earned a provincial medal, Kentel said.
