The Abbotsford Pilots were unable to slow the league-leading Richmond Sockeyes, but they bounced back with an overtime victory on the road Saturday evening.

On Friday, the Pilots dropped a 5-1 decision at MSA Arena to the seemingly untouchable Sockeyes, who improved to 14-0-0 on the season. Dakota Schipper gave the Pilots a 1-0 lead early in the first period, but Richmond responded with five unanswered goals.

On Saturday at Sungod Arena, Adam Rossi played the hero, scoring at 3:17 of the extra session to lift the Pilots to a 2-1 win over the North Delta Devils. Matthew Genovese scored the Abby goal in regulation, while Jordan Hospes made 31 saves for the win.

The Pilots take another crack at the Sockeyes on Thursday (7:30 p.m., Richmond Arena), then host the Ridge Meadows Flames on Friday (7:30 p.m., MSA Arena).
