West Shore-based minor fastball clubs are well into the process of filling out rosters for the 2015 season.
View Royal Fastball is registering players age four to 19 both online and in person. Signups can be done online with credit-card payment at viewroyalfastball.ca, but onsite registration continues this Saturday (Feb. 7) from 1 to 4 p.m. at Centennial Park, on Helmcken Road in View Royal, plus Sunday (2 to 5 p.m.) and next Wednesday (Feb. 11, 7 to 8:30 p.m.) at Pearkes Recreation Centre near the sports courts. Bring the players’ birth certificate and two cheques for uniform and volunteer deposits.
Langford Minor Fastball does online registrations at langfordfastball.sportngin.com. Fees and age group descriptions are listed and families must create an account to go through the process.
The association held tryouts for B level rep teams in each of the age divisions last weekend at Eagle Ridge Recreation Centre. Pitching-focused and general skills clinics are happening this week, indoors and out. More details at langfordfastball.ca.
