The University of the Fraser Valley women's soccer team landed a blue chip recruit last week, signing Monika Levarsky.

The University of the Fraser Valley women’s soccer team landed a blue chip recruit last week, signing Whitecaps FC Girls Elite graduate Monika Levarsky.

Levarsky, a 5’5″ striker from Surrey, is one of the most promising players in the class of 2014 in B.C. Before her time with the Whitecaps, Levarsky spent three years on the B.C. provincial team, and won a provincial championship with her Metro squad, the Richmond Red Hot Selects, in 2012.

“We are so excited that Monika has chosen to come to UFV,” Cascades head coach Rob Giesbrecht said. “Monika is a natural finisher who possesses the athletic excellence and quality of character that we look for. Monika will challenge immediately for a starting position and we are eagerly anticipating her contributions in the future.”
