Down to their final out, Dayton Wilson delivered an extra-innings two-run single, scoring Dakota Curry and Travis Leclair as the Langley Blaze rallied for a fourth straight win.
The Blaze — who forced extra innings with the tying run off an error in the bottom of the seventh — edged the White Rock Tritons 6-5 in U18 B.C. Premier Baseball League action at McLeod Park on Tuesday night.
The win improved Langley to 28-13 and they close the regular season with three road games this weekend: tonight (Friday) against the Abbotsford Cardinals and a Saturday doubleheader against the Victoria Eagles.
The Eagles (29-12) have a one game lead over Langley for second place in the league.
Against White Rock, Parker Logan went the distance on the mound, allowing five runs — but just two earned — over eight innings with six strikeouts for the win.
Brendan Halstrom and Haydon Jaco both had RBI doubles.
The Blaze also swept a doubleheader against the Whalley Chiefs on Saturday, winning 4-3 and 6-3.
Hayden Jaco drove in a pair of runs in the first game and Yi-An Pan had three hits and one RBI.
Cooper Misic went the distance, scattering three runs over seven innings.
The second game saw Brendan Halstrom and Jesse Unger drive in two runs apiece in the 6-3 win. Halstrom had an RBI triple.
Six Blaze pitchers combined on a four-hitter with Aiden Mordecai picking up the win.
