It will be a special and emotional time at the Penticton Speedway this weekend.
The annual Young Guns Memorial Weekend takes place after being introduced on the Victoria Day long weekend in 2009 to honour young racing enthusiasts Bobbie Wilson and Dayton Dery. The pair died in a car accident in 2008 during the Christmas holidays. Both were 15 years old at the time.
The Bobbie Wilson Young Drivers Award will be handed out this weekend. The $500 award is presented to an aspiring young driver.
